Housing Management

Halton YMCA was established in 1969 and has been providing accommodation services since 1974. The organisation is affiliated to YMCA England and has delivered a Supporting People housing programme on behalf of Halton Borough Council at its Halton Lodge site since 2003.

In delivering this contract the organisation works with a wide range of vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals to provide accessible, safe, secure and supported accommodation to meet their needs.

Our Philosophy

Helping individuals to make the move from dependence to independence in their own property, and to seek training, education and employment opportunities.

 

Halton YMCA has developed a strong reputation for delivering high quality and accessbile support that assists the individual to both make informed choices about accommodation, to access levels of support they require, to plan routes to independence, to explore career prospects and appropriate training and to work to develop their longer term housing and emplyment opportunities.

 

Halton Lodge

Halton YMCA currently operates from a purpose built 66-bedded Hostel in Halton Lodge, Runcorn. This site has recently undergone exstensive refurbishment and improvement which has seen the redevelopment and remoddelling of the residential accommodation and the development of new and improved social, recreational and training facilities for service users. Halton YMCA has been an accredited Foyer, approved by the Foyer Federation since 2001.
