Mayor of Halton Cllr John Swain opened the refurbished garden on 28th July 2006. After the Mayor had cut the ribbon, Board Chairman Dave Griffiths officially received the cheque from BNFL Regional Community Affairs Manager Peter Osborne, also pictured above are, (left to right)Lady Mayoress Margaret Swain, Garden designer Eva Langley, Cllr John Swain and Sheila MacGregor from the Community Services Team, .

The garden had been designed by Eva Langley and work carried out by the Community Services Team, who are also involved in the upkeep of the grounds of Halton YMCA.

Halton YMCA would like to thank BNFL for the generous donation of £5000, which made the project possible.

The residents of Halton YMCA now have a place where they can enjoy the summer weather and relax in the company of other residents..
